BRIEF: Optimise property utilisation and provide an uplifting, supportive and brand-aligned workplace

A multi-service top 100 UK law firm with offices in London and 3 regional cities. The expansion of their Leeds office provided the opportunity for the firm to re-evaluate how it was using its current workplace and supporting its people. Extensive engagement was undertaken with staff and audits were carried out to determine property utilisation and storage efficiency. An agile-ready scheme was designed that optimally supports the firm from day one and is primed to accommodate more agile working practices as headcounts rise. Key issues from staff consultation were addressed with the inclusion of quiet working facilities, sit-stand desking and focus rooms as well as the introduction of more informal meeting settings that releases the pressure on formal client-facing meeting rooms. Wellbeing and socialisation are supported by the addition of an impressive staff café that provides additional, flexible informal meeting and touchdown facilities and takes advantage of the best city views from the 7th floor location.
