BRIEF: Design that reflects the firms’ personality and business relationships, whilst attracting sought after professionals.

Working with the client from the brief development to completion of the fit-out enabled us to gain an in-depth understanding of this Reading-based law firm and provide a solution that met its business needs. The firm’s existing workplace was too small and no longer supported its functional needs or brand values. Key to the design solution was the creation of a tailored workstation which incorporates a sliding screen to address the potentially contradictory issues of privacy and collaboration. A relaxed and informal feel was vital within the visitor hospitality facilities as many of the firm’s clients are individuals, whilst the overall design communicates its professionalism. The central atrium provided a logical primary circulation route which in turn was also the shortest distance from A to B. This provided clear sight lines from one end of the building to another, ensuring staff felt connected to other parts of the business at all times whilst still being nestled away in their respective neighbourhoods.
